Alta is a curated community of women leading tech across Arizona. The community works because of who's in the room and how we show up for each other. These are the five things every member commits to. They aren't suggestions.
Alta isn't a list you pay to be on. It's a community you build by being present. You join conversations, attend events when you can, respond when someone reaches out. The members who get the most out of Alta are the ones who give the most to it.
Hard things are real. We talk about them. But this isn't a space to spiral or vent in circles. When you bring something up, you bring it to work through, not to wallow in. The conversation moves toward what you'll do, what you'll try, what you need.
Another woman's promotion isn't a referendum on yours. Her funding round isn't your loss. You celebrate without hedging, without comparison, without "must be nice." If you can't be happy for someone, sit out the thread until you can.
The best networks work because people contribute without keeping score. You make introductions. You share intel. You answer questions. You assume the karma comes back, eventually, in some form. The ones who treat Alta as a give-to-get spreadsheet stand out, and not in the way they want.
What's shared in Alta stays in Alta. No screenshots. No verbal recounting outside the community. No using what you hear to recruit, pitch, or report. This is the value that makes everything else possible. Breaches end your membership, no exceptions.
If any of this doesn't sound like you, Alta isn't the right fit. We'd rather know now than later. If all five land, you're already most of the way there.
